Needed for December: Beef Stew

We need volunteers who will build the set and some who will paint the set for our Hanging of the Greens Christmas Play. The set will consist of a three-walled family room. The set cannot be on stage until after the morning services on Nov. 13 and it will need to be completed on our stage by Nov. 26. This week’s book is Making Sense of the Future, by Wayne Grudem.

Our church goal this year was $1000. As of October 2nd, you gave $1,528! Than you for giving so wonderfully!!

We are still collecting items for our shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. Our packing service will be Sunday, Nov. 6th. Items needed are:

• Candy (No chocolate please)
• Small stuffed animals
• Small calculators
• Scissors
• Coloring books

We need two experienced cooks that would be willing to work in the kitchen on a rotating basis, Wednesdays from 2 to 5 p.m. every other week. Please contact Gazell Parker (256-657-3141) for further details.

Also, we are needing an upright, frost free freezer (gently-used would be great) and contributions for a commercial mixer. If you have any questions or would like to donate or contribute, please contact Gazell Parker (256-657-3141).
