Cakes, we need cakes!

The Sunshine Dinner Team will be delivering cakes to those who normally receive a meal each month and they need your help!  Twenty (20) cakes are needed and six (6) of them need to be SUGAR FREE.  Cakes are to be brought to the New Fellowship Hall on December 6th or NO LATER than 8 a.m. Dec. 8th.  If you can help with this special ministry, contact the church office or Karin Gillock.  Your help is very much appreciated!

Fall Connect Groups

FALL CONNECT GROUPS WILL START THE WEEK OF SEPT. 11TH AND FINISH THE WEEK OF NOV. 20TH.

GOLF CONNECT GROUP– led by Darryl LeGrand and Alex Flora–  Fore!  Get ready for a great time of fellowship and golf!  The meeting time will be announced next week.  Please remember to bring your clubs and money for course fees.  This group will meet at a different course each week so please contact Darryl or Alex for more info.  We are looking at Saturday or Sunday for this group and need you to sign up at the Information Center so we can find the day and time that works best for everyone.

VOLLEYBALL CONNECT GROUP– led by Jason and Trennia Cagle– This fun group meets on Sundays at 7p.m. in the Gym Worship Center (new sanctuary).  Everyone is invited to come and play!

WOMEN’S CONNECT GROUP– led by Cindy Davis– Our women’s Bible study group will meet at Cindy Davis’s house (67 Bluff View Dr., Fort Payne) on Mondays from 6-8p.m.  This group will be using Beth Moore’s wonderful new study called Entrusted.  Ladies, please bring your Bible and a pen.

MEN’S CONNECT GROUP– led by Louis Hanks– The men’s group will be meeting Wednesday nights from 6:30-7:30p.m.  We will look at the harmony of the Gospels.  We would love to have you join us for this wonderful time to dig deeper into the books we know so well.

RUNNING CONNECT GROUP– led by Sarah Parker and Katie Holt– The running group will met on Sundays at 6p.m. in the new fellowship hall.  This group is open to both men and women.  The nursery is available for those who would like to attend this group.

WALKING 4 HEALTH CONNECT GROUP– led by Laurel Patton and Sherri Blevins–Join us as we connect to walk our way to better health!  This group will walk together (everyone at their own pace) outside, weather permitting.  The group is open to both men and women.  We’ll meet on Saturdays at 8a.m. in the new fellowship hall parking lot.

STUDENT CONNECT GROUP– led by John Prose and Irby Wallace–This group is for students in the 7th grade all the way up to college students.  Middle school and high school students are studying the book of Proverbs and meet in the youth room.  College students are studying the book of Romans and meets in the new fellowship hall in the College Sunday School Room every Sunday from 6-7p.m.

MEAL PREP CONNECT GROUP– Led by Gazel Parker–This connect group is for all ages!  It is going to be a time to learn general cooking and food prep information.  Whether you’re just getting started on your own or learning how to cook for more than just 2, this connect group will help you get down the basics.  It will meet on Tuesday a.m. and p.m. in the new fellowship hall.  Everyone is invited to come and be a part of this awesome group.
